Today is gumboot Friday my class and twp 8  worked on gumboot Friday which was a fundraiser and charity for

men and women with a stigma meaning they cant open up to someone or talk to someone

that ´ s basically what us and twp 8 did and we had to partner up with them too to work

together and tell them questions about mental health and they us a question to us too

we had to first get to know each other because we had to connect and take notice of each other

Steve liked talking about Lionel Messi which is a scoocer player and Cristiano Ronaldo and he

asked me what i liked to do and i said i loved playing sports and then we went back upstairs and

did our work together and we the whole class learnt about 5 ways to connect. how can you connect your culture

by learning the language,spending time with your family or just going to your cultural mass

and taking notice by paying attention and just do the right thing something is that New Zealand has the most high suicide rate

but always talk to someone when you have weight on your shoulders and always have a friend that you can talk too.

 

 

 

 

talofa lava this term te wairua pakiki have been working on technological process in our inquiry we focused on double glazed windows we got split up into different groups to work on this slide and talk about what a double glazed window is and we talked about it and you can see what it is in this slide so hope you enjoy!

Talofalava this week we have been learning about the holy spirit in baptism. baptism the holy spirit helps us to grow with friend ship with and helps us with our ups and downs and our tough times and yeah hope you like my work.

Today we did an Activity

my class and I were introduced to a teacher named Lucy. Lucy our art teacher told us that we were going to sketch in many different shapes and lines to get used to using them and cause were practising our art skills We were handed an piece of paper and a sketching pencil, we had to fold half of the paper into 4 squares and name them from step 1 all the way to step 4. We then started sketching lines, shapes in the four squares.

We lastly drew a self portrait using the lines and shapes we drew in the 4 squares and using reference of what we looked like and this is what i drew in 20 minutes

So on saint patricks day we had to buddy up with the year threes and fours because they were gonna be our soul friends i was with jaden he such a nice guy he likes to talk about what he likes to do and like to talk about his friends so once we all budded up with the year threes and fours we had to line up and go to the church cause we were celebrating the feast day of saint patricks and we had to wear green after we finished celebrating the feast day of saint patricks we had to split into 10 groups the games were

1. Bean bag throw
2. Ring toss
3. Relays
4. Cricket
5. Gutter Boards
6. Kick foot ball

i was in group 3 so we were vs group 4 we were starting off with relays. how do you play relays 2 teams on each side with the baton has to run to the other team and pass on the baton so we were playing relays ad we were actually in the lead but team 4 won so we just took our l then the next game we played was gutter ball so gutter is when 1 person on eache side have a gutter board in front of you and you have to throw if you miss then it the other persons ball and if you miss you have its the other persons ball and if you hit the gutter board you have to catch the ball quick and then you keep on going untill you miss the gutter board so it was me vs Aston as you can clearly see Aston won by a lot of points

so i took my lost and the next game was bean bag throw bean bag throw you have 3 bean bag you have throw a bean bag in the hula hoop and you get a point this is not teams its just seeing if you can get it and yeah we really tried our best but we manged next game was cricket im sure you pretty you guys know whats cricket so yeah our group played cricket so it was basically who can get the longest shot it was 2 groups and it was group 3 and 4 we were vs each other but as you know we lost again so next game was a soccer drill we just had to dribble around the cones and once you have done that you have to pick up the ball when you comeback and pass it on to the next player so thats what we basically did and yeah it wasnt a race or anything its like a skill so after that we had to pack up the equipment  and put it in the pe shed then we all we were ready to go home and that my friends was a CRAZY SPORTS DAY!!!

 

DO YOU NOT KNOW WHO´S SAINT PATRICKS! if you do not know who is saint Patrick’s then i´m gonna be telling you. saint Patrick was a 5th-century missionary to Ireland and later served as bishop there He is one of the patron saints of Ireland. when saint patricks was a young man how got kidnapped as a teenager boy who was sent to Ireland as a slave then after a couple of years He later died shortly after arriving at the northern town.why we celebrate saint Patrick´s day you may ask because he made the of most of Ireland Christians

and ever since that day we always celebrated saint Patrick´s day

So you might not probably know what is the Annunciation feast day if you do not know then i’m gonna tell you. its a special day for all of our catholic and christian community.

so it all began with the Angel Gabriel and Mary. The Angel said to Mary that she would have a child and that she has to name the child Jesus. The Angel Gabriel said to Mary, “He will do great and will be called the Son of the Most High God.” Mary was scared to give birth to a child but then the Angel Gabriel said ¨Do not be afraid Mary, for you have found favour with God¨ and so Mary said ¨yes¨.

and from then on we always celebrated The Feast Day of the Annunciation.
